Wanted 416 Ruger Rifle

Good morning.
I came across a set of redding dies and 200 rounds of new brass that followed me home.

So I am checking to see if anyone has a 416 Ruger they might be willing to part with?

Have a couple rifles I might trade or cash for the rifle.

This will save me from having to build one.

@AZDAVE the 416 Ruger is indeed hard to come by. Just looked on GB and several 375 Rugers for around $1k are listed. Can a 375 Ruger be easily rebarreled to 416? Seems like the bolt face and magazine are all the same. Just a thought.

@375 Ruger Fan That is an option I considered, but have a zastava action that started life as a 458, a 1909 Argentine, and P14 action to do a build from on the shelf. So just checking to see if anyone has a safe queen they don't want anymore.

Buy the reloading equipment and brass first. Then start looking for the rifle to go with them.

I found a stock and action I liked and then took it to my gunsmith to rebarrel. Kind of the same thing!! ( Mauser action and killer piece of black walnut). Should be ready this summer. For a 416 ruger .

That's a right proper looking stock on the AHR. What's the barrel length?

I've been mulling over a .416 Ruger build and keeping an eye out for a donor action. Thinking MV of 2,100 - 2,200 fps from a 21" barrel, depending on overall balance, and 4 down + 1.
