Wanted .375 Bullets Needed 300gr Solids

I'll check to see if the bullets are the triple shock. But even questioned myself as to how Barnes listed these as solids when they have a hollow point. I'll do a separate thread and post photos of the box and bullets.
Barnes in the past made some really goo solids but if what you have is fairly recent production they are gonna be triple shocks. I have lots of those. So when you check please let me know. Thanks!!

Will do. I believe I bought these boxes of Barnes back in 2017(?) or 2018(?).

I have 49 , 300gr, 375 cal. solids for sale for what they cost me which is about $4.00 each. Let me know if you are interested. I am traveling now in central Idaho so contact may be somewhat difficult.

WOW, I would like to know what kind of Nosler bullet you paid $4.00/bullet for. Please post a photo and description.

Now I'll ask; Is this loaded ammo or just the bullets?

Cajun Hunter, these are the bullets I have available from North Fork. The FPS is a complete 50 count box.

The Woodleigh PP SN may or may not be a complete box. If you are interested in them, I'll check the quantity and give you a fair price for the box or perhaps we might be able to make fair trade for something I might need.

This happened to me in 2021 up on leaving Zimbabwe. It's not a conclusion.

It was the customs officers' statements to me. The shock on their faces that my ammo wasn't checked by them upon entry, as it was the same customs officers that checked me into the country.

Since I was leaving when my "illegal ammo" was discovered; narrative of their, the 2 officers side of the conversation: "...you are heading to South Africa...your...'bullets/this ammo' won't be confiscated....(first officer) just it's not allowed.../(second officer)...not allowed to use hollow point bullets.....(first officer said, please; second officer didn't say please) ....don't bring this type of ammo back....".

I made multiple apologies. Even told them that Barnes bullet company considers these are solids.

It was a little tense the first couple of minutes, but things softened as we conversed. Eventually I was forgiven and allowed to leave with all my ammo.

The thing is they were the same customs officers that checked me in and helped me with my visa, only later to find the paperwork on a third officer's desk, and had been completed prior to my arrival.

In the end, with exception to this little hiccup, entry and exit into Zimbabwe was courteous and friendly.

NOTE: ( Their words paraphrased) THE ONLY REASON (these officers) were inspecting my ammo on exit; as a courtesy to insure that I wouldn't have any complications with SAPS on re-entry into South Africa.

The excess ammo count was corrected on my copy of SAPS Forms. Using Henry Rifle Permits, I again made it through SAPS without any further problems.
On my way out of Zim they freaked out because I had empty brass. I had picked up a few of my empty cases and stuck them back in the box and I had like 18 loaded rounds and 2 empty brass in one and 4 or five loaded and 5 or six empty in the other box and we went round and round for like 20 minutes while they all typed on thier phones and made calls to "verify" I asked to verify what? It's empty brass? Anyway after 15 or 20 minutes they came to the conclusion I could take my loaded.ammo but they had to confiscate my empties :ROFLMAO: this was after I told them in the begining that if there was an issue just to throw them away, " No, No, we can not do that" then they ended up keeping them. I was like whatever, just let me out of this damned closet. Ha ha

My for sale bullets are bullets only. I am selling them for what they cost me. That is $4.00 each. Purchased from one of the big catalog stores on-line. They are Nosler, 300gr, flat point solids, in 375 caliber.

I have these (49ea.) which I guess are sort of the DGS bullet these days.
Would take $50 plus shipping cont. US

I went to Zim last year with TSX and was never even questioned about them. They just counted the ammo and said nothing about it otherwise. I left all my unused ammo with my PH, so I had no ammo to check back through when returning. I hope my next trip goes as smoothly....

Barnes is manufacturing banded solids again. They are listed on their website again and available (in stock). I just obtained a couple boxes of .375 300gr banded solids in addition to triple shocks (tsx).

WOW...I'll stick with Leighigh, Woodleigh, and Hornady, at least I get 50 count for my money at a lesser price. FWIW IMHPO, And the way that I reload, that no matter which fore mentioned company listed above bullet I'm shooting, they all hit within the same 1" POI....on target & on game at that same zero distance..100...200. 300...yds.

Should I really have to, most likely never.....I'll use a "cheat sheet" beyond the zero range to 600 yds. Exceptions are: I'm hunting certain African PG ie. bushbuck, waterbuck, etc, open areas or heavy bush areas where game the stalking would be difficulty, as in closing the gap on, or certain big game ie: elk, antelope, sheep, & goats, where long range shots are most likely the norm.

The last Noslers I bought were around the same, or just pennies more than the price of Woodleighs,
Barnes, Hornady; Comparing the same caliber and grain weights. Apples to Apples, not Apples to Oranges (which is ie 300 grain bullet to a 350 or 250 grain weight bullets,... IMO.).

Hello to my reloading and hunting brothers.
I am in need of a handful of 300 gr. Premium solids for my Ackley. Leaving for a trip next month and have searched Swift and Woodleigh distributors to no avail. Have .375 factory loads but was hoping to utilize the full potential of the Ackley on an elephant. Rifle shoots BTS beautifully and SAF’s as well. Guess I could pull some from factory loaded rounds. Just hoping someone might have a few they will part with. Shoot straight and often—AJ
I have 49 Nosler solids flat nosed bullets in 375 caliber for $4 each. This is what they cost me a few years ago from Midway, I believe it was. These are bullets alone, not loaded ammo.

Oh yea, my Nosler are 300 grained, I forgot to mention.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
