The tiger on this rifle looks like the engraver had a box of Frosted Flakes as an example of what a tiger looks like! Make the Merkel animal scenes look realistic! Lol

It’s called Kipling (e.g. Rudyard) engraving as the jungle book stylings were popular. I owned a 500NFB with a childish tiger on it from that era.

That's the standard load listed in Cartridges of the World. His handloads show 84 grs of 4350. I think its legit.

Im not sure if you have been able to pick up a 425WR as u wanted, but just wanted to let u know that i might sell mine. The history of it is well documented. When i bought it it was without barrel and stock. It came to Norway after WII, and has been sitting in a safe by an old gunsmith here. I then got a Norwegian gunsmith to re-built it. I have not been using it that much, and considering selling it.
