Vortex Razor HD bino warranty claim

I received my Riton Replacement scope today. I sent in an X3 with a 30mm tube and they shipped me a X1 with a 1Inch tube as a replacement. I sent them a not to friendly e-mail telling them what I expect we'll see what happens

I've owned three optics from Vortex and two of them failed me at the worst possible times.
1. Slight bump on my 10x42 binos took them out of commission for the remainder of a whitetail hunt. Sent back to Vortex and they were repaired...only to break again. Sent back and they were replaced. I sold these shortly afterwards and upgraded my binos.
2. Vortex Viper (red dot) on my SBE2 turkey gun quit working when I went to verify zero prior to a turkey hunt. Not sure if it was due to recoil or the optic just crapped the bed, but I couldn't move the POI vs POA. I was lucky enough to find wrenches to fit the Torx screws and remove it so I could use the iron sights on the hunt. In frustration I beat the optic to death with a hammer and tossed it in the trash.
3. Vortex Viper on my carry pistol was removed immediately after coming home from that turkey hunt and thrown in the garbage. I've been using irons ever since, but I'm now considering a Trijicon RMR-HD (top load battery) for this.
I will never again own another Vortex product. I don't doubt that they are good to deal with when it comes to warranty and I applaud them for doing so. IMO it's the least they can do considering some of the quality that goes out their door.
I will choose a higher quality and more durable optic over one that offers the warranty of Vortex. Yes, I will likely pay more up front and possibly not have the quickest response when it comes to issues. But those issues are few and far between despite treatment that is bordering on abuse.

Riton sent me a the proper replacement scope today I noticed a few subtle improvements over the earlier X3 looks like an improvement in the glass dept they also sent a return label so I can send the the X1 back

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
