Victoria Falls family-friendly accommodation

Very best of luck on your adventure. Don't forget your children will all too soon be moving on with there lives and what this trip costs will be forgotten. But the memories will be priceless. Regards to Kim and Marius. They are special

Thanks Jacques. Yes we are aware that this will probably be our last big overseas holiday as a family before the girls won't want to hang out with their parents any more. Hence we'll do everything we can to make it a month to remember!

Cheers
Tim

Hi all,
I'm interested in hearing some first-hand recommendations for family-friendly accommodation in Vic Falls.
I'd really appreciate any info, thanks!
Tim
Dear Tim
Enjoy the planning process. We recommend LOKUTHULA lodge, which is on the same premises of THE BOMA Restaurant. Please ensure that you make reservations in advance going to THE BOMA Restaurant, it is not only a meal - it is an experience!
Enjoy creating memories...

Thankyou, that is exactly where we are staying! We will be sure to book into the Boma for dinner one night.

Nikki and I are very excited to show Africa to our girls.

Best regards
Tim

Tim and Nikki, you will enjoy every moment with the girls, I have no doubt.
More recommended activities would be: ELEPHANT ride and SUNSET cruise on the river.
Have you been in contact with the activity desk of Lokuthula? They would be able to suggest and make activity arrangements.
Ensure that you apply for the MULTIPLE entry Visas for your family upon arrival in Zimbabwe. The cost is about US$60 per visa, if I am not mistaken. (You can do this upon arrival at the airport.)
Have FUN planning...

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. We already have an elephant ride and sunset cruise / Chobe tour on the agenda.

We will contact Lokuthula and discuss other activities! My eldest wants to do all the adrenalin junkie stuff, not sure we are ready for that!!

Cheers
Tim

Hi i see someone is coming to the falls. We are 3 hours away. Your welcome to come visit and see what zim is really like. Tokoloshe

G'day and thanks for the invite!
Unfortunately our schedule is very full this time around, but maybe next time across I might fit in a Zim hunt!

Cheers Tim

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
