Yesterday, I got a nice whatsapp message from Jurgen "Vertigo" on the forum that he became a father to healthy daughter. :A No1:

Doubles, guns and Africa is a great adventure but raising your child will be the best adventure you will ever experience.
Have fun roll with the punches get up and start again there is no manual for parenting and everyone is unique.
May you as parents be blessed with health, love and enough to be sharing Africa with them.

Outstanding news! Congrats to the new papa & mama!! :A Bravo::D Cheers:

Your child is born. You blink once and they're in kindergarten. Blink again they're graduating high school. One more blink and they're gone from the house. Sincerely, enjoy the years you have them at home. We cannot make time. We have to take time. Take time to be with them while they are at home! You will cherish that time forever, and so will they!

@VertigoBE . Proficiat!! Veel succes met de kleine en het beste voor u en uw vrouw!

Congratulations @VertigoBE !:E Oh Yeah:

About 8-12 years out, you’ll probably be taking her hunting in Africa. But first, enjoy the baby/toddler/early years because they are fleeting.

Thanks for the heads up @Frederik.

I indeed intend to share my lifelong passion for hunting with her :) and hope that I can take her one day to Africa too!
Thanks @BourbonTrail!

VertigoBE, was this a first-time performance or a repeat? Congratulations are in order regardless of the number. Before you know it, you will be looking at short stocks for one or more of your rifles. I'm not kidding, you'll see!!

My fiancée and our daughter Louise are both doing great. She was born 3,3kg and 51cm, yesterday Thursday 10/03/2022 at 13:32. Still one more day in the hospital and if all goes well we go home tomorrow!

Cannot begin to describe the feeling when she was born and afterwards holding her skin to skin. She is the most perfect little bundle of joy that exists !

Thanks again!

Please post pictures of the little bundle of joy. :)

Congratulations to VertigoBE. Life as you knew it has changed, and all for the better. You now may have a hunting partner for you to mentor. Let the adventures begin.

That’s awesome man… Kinda crazy but we just celebrated our daughter’s first birthday yesterday. She was born at 9:06 pm though

That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
