For sale is a very fine Verney Carron Azure PH in 500 Nitro Express Caliber. Handmade in France in Atelier Verney Carron’s workshop by master gunsmith’s. This rifle has beautiful walnut with dark chocolate and butterscotch tones. Finely hand checkered stock and forearm. Fine hand engraved English Rose and Scroll engraving. The length of pull measures 14 3/4” to the rear trigger over a 3/4” decelerator buttpad and a 1/4” spacer. The front trigger has the wonderful and pricey option of an articulated trigger, which prevents trigger slap onto your trigger finger. This greatly aids in reducing the discomfort of firing such a powerful firearm.
The rifle is equipped with powerful ejectors for a quick reload when seconds can mean the difference between life and death. The 24” barrels are well regulated for the affordable and readily available Hornady Dangerous Game ammo. The sights are a single rear blade with a single front sight. Balance point is a few inches in front of the trigger guard, perfectly balanced for fast handling. There are a few scratches under the hand guard which are not visible when the rifle is assembled. Other than very light handling marks the rifle is in excellent condition. It is priced to sell and a VC with ejectors and articulated trigger only show up for sale at this price maybe every few years so buy it while you have the chance.
