I'd guess 6 0r 7 inches. The one side is larger than the other.

Do you often find them in tall grass like that? I thought they were found higher up, where the terrain is getting sheepy.

This is pretty high up, you just don't see them easily in the long grass. They like to bed down in the long grass where they have a great view of the area around them.

In my spurt opinion - that left one is about to touch 9. It is just a hair under.
