I have a little info to pass on to you hunters regarding the Lacey Act, which has new wood product regulations going into effect on Oct. 1st of this year. What will affect you the most is any wood products will have to show where & who made, type of wood, species, where harvested, and if it is treated or not. This will include any wood used in the interior frame of your mounted trophies, and also any curio or product. Please get as much info as you can before processing/shipping before you proceed to avoid any hang- ups. Also, I think treated wood is your best bet as we have heard a rumor of a hunter having trophies with beetles in them that destroyed the wall they were displayed on:(

Great post. Thanks for the information.

Hi Paul,
This is Daniel from Mankazana Safaris.

I saw your post regarding a hunt in Africa. I am sure you have been bombarded with messages and replies from other outfitters, so I will keep this one quick.
I have a feeling we have exactly what you need for a first safari.
If you'd like to hear more, please don't hesitate to reach out.
