USA: Rifle Elk Hunt With Rising Son Outfitters In Montana November 2024

Congrats! Very cool. I may be interested in this, do you mind sending PM to share rough costs associated with this hunt?

Congratulations. I enjoyed reading the well written hunt report. It’s hard to beat Montana’s beauty & down to earth friendly people.

Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Always good to see you Dave and had a great time. Congratulations to you guys on a successful hunt!

Cody, it was good seeing you again. You made a wise choice! Montana sure does beat Houston. We need to get @tarbe and make a plan for a DIY hunt. We aren't getting any younger.

Congratulations Dave on the super hunt success. Glad you all had a good trip and thanks for the invite to join you, your family and @Bullthrower338 for dinner in Bozeman the night before your hunt began. I always enjoy meeting other AH members and putting a face with their screen name

@MontanaPat it was good meeting and getting to know you! One of the great benefits of AH membership is getting to meet other members. Good luck with your hunting. I look forward to reading your future reports.

Congrats on a lot of success in just a few days! Beautiful elk and some chunky deer. Love this photo showing the scenery...

Dave, that was truly another perfect Elk Hunt. You are either a good planner or maybe just exceptionally lucky. Most likely both. LOL

Art, if this hunt was a one off, then you could say it was luck. But most of my hunts with Rising Son Outfitters have had a happy ending. They run their ranching operation with both cattle and elk in mind. From the type of hay they grow to how and when they graze the cattle is various pastures. They have removed (burned) a lot of the sage brush and planted native grasses that the elk like. They essentially have a resident herd in a completely free range operation. For anyone wanting a great chance at a quality 6x6 bull, Rising Son Outfitters should be at the top of their list. The biggest problem though is they are booked up for the next couple of years.

I received this photo a few days ago from my guide, Zane Petrich. Lots of bull elk still on the ranch in late January!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
