While some of you were taking it easy at DSC in Atlanta, and others were in Dallas partaking at the @mdwest get together, I was actually hunting.
During the past several years, I have read a few mountain lion reports from various AH members. A report from @cpr0312 got me interested in Seven Anchor Outfitters.
A couple other reports from @markferrigno and @ M Whitley confirmed to me that Seven Anchor Outfitters was a bucket list hunt that I needed to do.
Everyone likes a story with a happy ending, so yes I had a spectacular lion hunt. Stay tuned and I will fill in all the details.

Hello,
I recently changed my avatar pic to my mountain lion I harvested in 2013, and have been asked about it a few times, so like most of us I love to share and talk about hunting. I have attached the write up I did for a magazine after my hunt, which was published. I'll basically let the article serve as the hunt report, and have also attached the pics from the magazine and a few pics from the hunt itself. I had wanted t hunt a mountain lion for a while, and I was able to work out a short 3 day hunt after a business trip to Phoenix back in 2013.
The difference here was that in Arizona...

I became interested in a Mountain Lion hunt with Seven Anchor Outfitters based a review I read here on Africa Hunting. I looked at some Colorado outfitters (I am in Colorado) but the more I read about Seven Anchors the more I became interested. I called Logan Anderson, the owner and guide and spoke with him about booking a hunt. Logan explained how the hunt was conducted, what...

Just getting around to posting my hunt report from February 2021, I did this same hunt in February 2020 just before the China virus showed up. In 2020 we hunted hard for four days running a cat the last day that would not tree and just kept running, a smart old cat I would imagine. The 5th and final day in 2020 it rained hard so I changed my flight and went back home. Logan Anderson who owns 7 Anchors Outfitters made me great deal to come back again in 2021 and was sincerely disappointed that we did not kill in 2020.
