Of course I was incredulous that it could possibly cost that much money to count some Gnu's running around in the grass.

It turns out that it is $50,000 USD and 114,564,290 TZN SHILLINGS to review some satellite photos of the migration and count the critters.

That number makes a little more sense.

Reporters don't seem to comprehend math. Especially when it comes to debased currencies.:D

For $100M USD, I would hire 100,000 Tanzanian's and pay them $900 for six months to stand in one place and paint individual numbers on the gnu's, as they walked past during the migration. Then I would have enough money left over to do a proper Tanzania hunt.(y)

I like this idea! Can I go along?

Actually, I think your method was tried in the past, Wheels. But the Tanzanites became confused, and began painting each other. Surprising how countries that "hate Colonialism" are quick to cash a check from, or accept help from a former Colonial power......but I hope the project goes well and the new Gnu study is a success......FWB

Rejecting European colonialism to eagerly accept it from China

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
