We have a special on an early-season buffalo hunt in the Sobbe conservancy in Namibia's Caprivi.

This hunt must be taken between February and May 2023. February and March are still in the rainy season, so will be a wet hunt, but April and May should be better if you prefer less rain. The bush and grass will be thick, and the shooting distance will be less than 30 yards. This is a tracking hunt, in mopane bushveld, so you should be at least fit enough to walk 5 miles a day. We will target old buffalo bulls, rather than spread, but the average spread should be in the 38-inch class. A few plains game animals, like kudu, zebra, and warthog will also be available. (I still have one roan and one sable left in this area, it will just require an extra 5 days added on at plains game rates)
This area has a close to 100% success rate on buffalo. This hunt is a 7-day hunt, with a travel day on each end, so a total of 9 days.

Due to the short notice of this hunt (MUST be done before mid-June this year), we are offering this full hunt (2 travel days, 7 hunting days, and one Cape buffalo trophy) at US$ 16 500.
We will also include either a free observer or a free zebra trophy. (This hunt normally sells at USD 21 450, and an observer would normally add another 2000 odd)

A 50% deposit (or USD 8 250) secures you a date, the rest can be paid after the successful hunt.

Either myself (Karl Stumpfe), or one of a few freelance PH's that knows the area, will guide this hunt, depending on the specific date. We will also be at DSC (booth 3419), and SCI (booth 2335) if you prefer to discuss face-to-face.
I will also be available on Whatsapp (+264811285416) and either me or Colleen will check our emails daily from now to the end of the year (admin@huntingsafaris.net)

Just to show you guys how much fun it can be hunting in the early season in Sobbe.... You will likely shoot a buffalo at very short range. This is my personal favourite time to hunt them as a double rifle with open sights works so well.

Trying to add a video... But in the mean time here's a link to another early season buffalo hunt with us, although in a different concession:

Great hunt offer. I'm surprised to see it still here. I'm envious of people who can go on short notice!

I am quite surprised myself!
It may be that prospective hunters are confusing it with a hunt in the Eastern Caprivi, on those floodplains, which would be about impossible to hunt this time of the year. As this is a "dry" area, away from the rivers, it is a proper tracking hunt, the way buffalo should be hunted. And up close and personal...

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
