Looking to see if anyone has experience with Turkish airways? We flew Qatar last year from Dallas to Joburg, and had a great flight. Turkish is considerably cheaper than Qatar. Is there a noticeable difference ?

Qatar is much nicer. I believe only the 787s in the Turkish fleet have individual pods have n business class, and they’re not as nice as Qatar.. but I’m pretty sure all international business flights on Turkish at a minimum have lay flat seats…

I’ve had very good experiences every time I’ve flown Turkish. Food is good, service is polite, aircraft well maintained, etc.. and the airport in Istanbul is very nice (although not on the same level as Doha)… If there is a substantial difference in price, I’d definitely consider them.

Personally, I wasn't impressed with the lay flat seats on Turkish Air. On one flight you had to stick your legs into a tube and switching positions was impossible with my big feet. On the return trip, it was a narrow area with two seats abreast.

Food, drinks and service were good. The lounge in Istanbul was very nice.

I just flew Turkish business from Atlanta to Istanbul to Cluj. The food was quite good, the flight was pleasant, the accommodations were fine, but not luxurious as I imagine is true with Arab airlines. I’ve flow business all over the world, for pleasure and business, and I will now always check to see if I can get on Turkish as I have little interest in paying a premium to fly Delta, for instance, where most everything is average.

Just did Turkish through Istanbul to Bucharest. Have done Qatar through Doha to Baku.

Qatar is definitely nicer but Turkish is fine. If the price is the same Qatar for sure. If the difference is a big one Turkish works. It’s up to you where the breaking point is. In my mind if the price difference is inside $1k I’d go Qatar outside that I’d go Turkish.

Assuming similar table times and layovers etc.

My experience has largely been the same as others in that Qatar is the best, same with Emirates and Turkish is a step below but still very good. However, as was said earlier, the 787’s are nice than the other planes. I flew Turkish Biz Class from San Francisco to Cameroon and the SFO-IST leg was way more comfortable than the IST-DLA leg. I actually found the IST-DLA leg somewhat uncomfortable as it was not that great a seat, especially for biz class. Emirates premium economy is more comfortable than Turkish biz class if your not in a 787.

I’ll fly Turkish again, but not if the price on Qatar or Emirates is fairly close.

I’ve flown business on both. Turkish is much better than any American airline. Qatar is a step above Turkish but both are great.

My wife and I have flown Turkish Airlines in b class and it is very nice. The first time was a little over a year ago and it was DFW nonstop to IST on a 787. More recently, we did IAH to IST nonstop and it was a 777. Not as nice as the 787, but still pretty good and was quite a bit cheaper than the 787 flight. The airport and lounge in IST are quite nice.

We flew Turkish business class from Atlanta to Istanbul. It was great service for the price and would choose that over Delta Premium economy any day of the week. I found those two service to be fairly similar in price. I have not flown with Qatar but that’s a different price point altogether.

We flew Turkish business class from Denver-Istanbul-Entebbe back in February and I was impressed. I would definitely fly them again.

Curious if anyone has traveled on Turkish with firearms and how was the experience? Traveling DFW-JNB in 2027.

Turkish gave us zero issues through to JNB.

In Australia, Nomini Casino provides a secure and entertaining online gaming environment. I found the platform easy to navigate and the games fair and high-quality. For anyone seeking a reliable online casino experience in Australia, Nomini Casino delivers both safety and enjoyment, making it a standout choice for players who value trustworthy platforms.
I had a similar experience - the seats were technically lie-flat, but the footwell felt very restrictive and made it hard to move around comfortably, especially on longer flights.

Have done both twice. Can't tell the difference other than Istanbul is a better airport than Dubai.
In case of a tie, I pick Turkish.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
