Trophy Room Build after 45 years of hunting

Absolutely spectacular. Congrats on having a place to re-live and remember so many adventures. Also looks like there will be plenty of room to add more memories as you make them. Best of luck with your knee surgery recovery. Thanks for sharing with all of us.

Looks fantastic John Ed. It has been a fun thread watching the entire process come together.

All the best in getting back on your feet and the recovery from surgery!

Love it all. I can feel the size of the space with the photo with the life size kudus, LDE, bongo, etc. Are you starting to enjoy it or is there more to do to get to final end of job?

Certainly am enjoying it. Still have a pool and shuffleboard tables to add plus some art.

It’s a comfortable space and that is what I was hoping for.

Good luck with your knee. Do the PT and just a little extra. The next 6 months will to a large degree determine how well it will work for the rest of your life.
What a wonderful trophy room. I think virtually all of us on here envy you.....
Bruce

Once I get done with trunk or treat at our church tonight I will a Macallan to toast your project. Then try figure how to get down there and hunt and celebrate together. John

Just fantastic !

Wishing you a swift recovery :D Cheers:

Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery on your knee surgery.

Absolutely a fanatic trophy room.

Wishing you a fast recovery. Your accomplishments are tremendous, room is wow, amazing and grand. What a perfect space. Do see a tree branch on Africa pic that is "empty"? Another leopard perhaps?

Well done Sir.

Congratulations on your NA 29! I have no idea how you got around BC to get your moose with the need for knee replacement! The terrain I’ve seen in BC had two directions straight up and straight down! That’s extreme dedication!

Looking back not sure why I said British Columbia?

Your room brings back fond memories of when I was a kid. Farm owner in southern Ontario that both my parents worked for and we lived on had a room similar. Every chance I got to "go to work with mum" was taken. I spent hrs, even days in the middle of their room looking, dreaming and seeing mounted all the animals that I dreamed of one day pursuing. This was noticed by the "Boss" as he gifted me his 22 rifle when his health deteriorated, still cherish it today.

It ignited a spark that I have till this day and for life. I certainly hope and truly believe yours is doing the same to many impressionable young hunters today.

Outstanding job.

Thanks Bruce, I’ve had too many people remind me about the PT and trust me I’ve taken heed. Still have a few mountains to climb!

I appreciate the kind words, hope to see you at the Reserve Ranch one day.

Yessir my daughters Leopard will go on the branch once we get the permit to export from Namibia.

Looks amazing John Ed, congrats. I cant wait to see it in person on a hunt there. I think I remember seeing Reserve Ranch on the list for the Houston Safari Club in Jan. 2025. I will make sure to visit yalls booth. Again, congrats on a world class trophy room! Cheers

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
