Anyone using there scopes? I have used there acog's and they are extremely durable wondering about the rest of the line the good and the bad. Looking too put new glass on a 375 Ruger thanks.

I have an Accupoint 3-9 on a .308 and RMR on a double. Like them both very much. Nice in early morning / evening low light conditions. Decent glass for the price and the fact that no batteries are needed. Holds up to recoil and travel on both those rifles. I will buy Accupoints again.

I think they're a bit pricy, however everything I've read concurs with what Arinjit said. After having a Zeiss Conquest go down on my recent trip to RSA, I'm giving thought to anything durable for my .375H&H. Nikon may fit the bill there as I know a fellow on another forum that shoots roughly 10,000 rounds a year in big bores. He has sworn off Leupold and gone to Nikon in recent years. He has yet to have a Nikon go down.

I used to have a Nikon Prostaff 3-9 that I put on a 375 H&H and for some reason it just wouldn't hold zero. I never bothered to contact Nikon and ended up giving it to my friend's wife who put it on a .243 and it works fine. I ended up with a Swarovski Z3 3-10 on the 375 and it works great. On the other hand I have a Nikon Buckmaster 6-18 on a 300 WM and it works like a charm. Never had any issues with it. Good glass for the price. Not sure what happened with the Prostaff. May have been me.

..what happened, Phil..?

An internal lens let go. We had jumped out of the truck to see if we could get on to some Eland. As I grabbed the .375, I heard the lens tinkling around. Later in the hunt, determined to use my .375, I swapped the scope over from my .300WM, the exact same make/model. It did great and I appreciated the light gathering ability of the Zeiss when I pulled up on my Red Hartebeest killed at last light.

I really like the Conquest series, great glass for the money. But that's the second time I've had a 4.5-14 go down on me. A previous one would just not hold zero. To the credit of Zeiss, they sent me a new one and I'm sure they will do the same on this one when I send it in. But I'd just as soon not have the bother.

Johhny,

I have a Trijicon Accu-Point TR-20 3-9x40 w/ the green triangle reticle on my Ruger Hawkeye .375 it is quick and easy to get on target and has held its point of aim from day one. You will be quite happy with it. Yes, they are costly but no batteries and always bright even in low light.

Deer Magnet (Bob)

Trijicon 1x4 with german #4 green dot works like a charm on my 404 jeffery approaching 300, 2300 FPS round through rifle with no problems holding zero.
Mounted on Win 70 with Talley bases and QD rings

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
