Good to know. I am glad to hear that route is working out for folks.
Maybe @TRAVEL EXPRESS can comment on the transfer permit. I just know it has been a hot topic of discussion here many times. Maybe it is no longer required.

I was told by the German police in October 2023 that is was required then. Simple to get though

I can certainly see the advantage of using a travel agent. I must have spent 10+ hours before my trips sorting out flights and the associated weapons permits etc.

Unfortunately , we do not have a UK based hunting travel agent. I spoke to an outfitter here who put me in touch with a firm who used to offer the service but due to the negative publicity they received, they will only book flights now and will not assist with firearms etc.

I usually have at least three airlines to get to Africa but one main international carrier. The main routes we use are served by Delta and Qatar. For most itineraries it is not "end to end" as we usually have a domestic carrier in Africa to get to the final destination and in my case AA to get going. Regardless of the route and regardless of what people say online you do not want to interline from one airline to another with rifles. There are many issues that can come up ie the second airline wanting to inspect and asking for more or nonexistent paperwork.
I am not trying to be a know it all but I see the issues and have lived them. Someone buys their ticket on their phone, then has a big mess up with rifles, and they instantly become the ambassador of "it's not worth it use a camp gun".

A camp gun can be a good option, it certainly saves a hassle... however, for gun nutters it is not an option.... we buy and build guns for specific hunts and specific species, we design custom loads and spend hours and hours at the range... it would injure our hearts to just grab any old gun to hunt with.

Using an agent that knows the ins and outs of traveling with firearms is a must, and can save you hours of research, plus time on the phone getting guns confirmed, transit permits, etc. We offer service to clients of all nationalities/ departure points, and have had folks work with us from all over the world.

As to the OP's question @M70375! - yes you can take guns through Frankfurt (and transit permit is required) as well as several of the major carriers that route through the middle east. But it's not as simple as book this one flight. There are dozens of combos/ airlines, and many pitfalls that can ruin a trip. Feel free to reach out if we can help.
