I am considering using austrian air for an upcoming hunting trip. Only issue that I'm running into is that I cannot find information on the procedures for carrying a firearm with them. Their website says that they accept them but it doesn't say what to do to set it up. Has anyone flown austrian air with a firearm and if so, what did you have to do ahead of time with the airline to bring it?

I'd recommend checking with a travel agent specializing in booking for hunters. Try @TRAVEL EXPRESS

Austrian exept trabsport of weapons - you have to order the transport with booking the ticket (=Sportgepäck - Waffen) …
They allowe:
1 Guncase (max 158 cm in length + deep+high)
1 separate Case for Amonition (extra to declare - no transport in luggage etc…
pricing = look at Austrian airlines/sportgepäck/Sportwaffen
(From USA to Europe - I think they take € 250,-)

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
