I recently heard about Tract Optics. They offer what seems to be a very good scope (lots of positive reviews & great specs).
Since I am building a midrange (300 - 600 yard) rifle chambered for 308 Norma Magnum, I called them and ordered a Toric 3-15X42 scope. This scope has a fixed 4" eye relief, Schott HD / ED glass and a choice of two reticle types and comes with both a low elevation dial and a high elevation dial. The scopes are made in Japan and sold direct by the importer for just under $900. They offer several models from about $350 up.
Posting this for people who are looking for resonably priced alternatives to Leupold and the Euro scopes with limited eye relief. I should have it in hand by Friday and will post more then.
