There is a difference between the Tsavo maneaters and this pride, of course. The Tsavo pair were clearly targeting the workers, had found humans easy prey, and had to be hunted down and killed. This group just had a guy walking up to them, doing everything to get eaten except rub himself down with Ketchup! And as for the comment on the video that "the terrain prevented using the cars to drive off the lions", well, if you can drive an R4 into there, it can't have been too rough. As someone rightly said: Darwin Award!

Good thread but Does anyone here ever check out snopes or other fact checking sites? That video was a total fake. Its been discredited for years.
Knowing that its a fake actually makes it pretty funny.

Don't worry sest, snopes said DHS did not buy 2 billion bullets too, article has been deleted from their site, but I remember reading it on their site. So yes, I guess they think I'm a gullible fool as well. Guess it's a conspiracy theory, even though the government has admitted to it.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that at all.
I worked as film editor for 15 years and it just didn't look right to me, there were cutaway shots in a live action film. Really? And the the shot of the lion running off with the camera and showing the last shot he took...all the angles were wrong. Too many scenes appeared to be staged so i did some searches on snopes and other fact sites.

If it makes you feel better i believed the national geo pic of the shark trying to eat the guy on the ladder of the helicopter a few years ago was real....it looked real to me.

No offence taken here. I wasnt directing my comment to you, just the situation. I only watched the vid once and that was some time ago. This is a pretty old thread. You may very well be correct. If so, makes you wonder why people dummy up stuff like this.

apparently a well known south african by the name of Jack Seale took these photo's during the production of a film.
Jack trained this lion for this role.
