Tourist Killed by Elephant in Livingstone

People need to realize that the statement from the tourist company was biased to their perspective also. It was cya. My guess is the answer lies in the middle somewhere.
Why would Livingstone tourism authority be biased? Point out where it says guides or there vehicles were involved in the incident in either the Police commissioner statement or the tourism authority's.
If someone accuses you of something that you had nothing to do with then I’d also want to clear that up.

Because someone being killed in the act of tourism is bad for business.

I have zero idea what happened. But saying all the reporting is wrong while this one statement is 100 percent factual makes little sense to me.

Where did I say all the reporting was wrong? I’ve even posted a link with the NYT link which states reports on both the commissioner quote and the statement released by the Livingstone tourism authority.
I did say that I thought the reporting on this was shoddy with not enough research into what actually happened. Along with spin.

I’ll still side with the press realise on the 24th of June as being more correct. For two reasons.
1: It’s 3 days at least after the incident which would give them more time to find out exactly what actually happened compared to the phone call to the police commissioner on the 21st.
2: With press release’s in a country that needs Tourism where an incident as already occurred. Your more likely to be an accurate in what you say.

you can find plenty of short films (reels) on Instagram where vehicles are attacked out of the blue. Of course you don't know who has annoyed these animals before.
I always find elephants and lions dangerous.
Never take a chance with them.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.

I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).

Very interested.

Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?

I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
