This is criminal!!

Even at those prices, how many of us are not selling what we have? It's not too high if there is a selling and a buyer, it's just like anything else.

I looked at farm earlier this week, it was about 30% higher per acre than I would even remotely consider realistic, it sold in 5 days. Was it too high?

Found gold this week. 5 lbs of H4831 and 3 lbs of IMR4350. Could’ve bought more.

Glad I didn’t. With tax the total was about $520, so north a bit of $60 a pound. Guess I won’t complain if others are paying $100 a pound.

Pats archery and Outdoors. Jasper Alabama. 10 or so 1lb jugs on the shelf when I left. They are $38 if I remember correctly.

Was there any RL17?

They are out.
If you’re looking online don’t bother. I wouldn’t trust it the online front. I was there at 445 and they had several 1lb h4350, h335, and h322. Lots of reloading components too.

Thanks Andrew. If you do see it grab me a pound. I’ll meet you in town and settle up.
Of course! I’m there a good bit and know the owner well. I asked him specifically about reloader powders and he couldn’t even give me ball park time line.

He was able to get primers last week and I picked up 2 bricks.

I hate to see this kind of price gouging. Try to buy building materials now. OSB that was $8 a sheet is now $32. Copper wire that was $40 a roll is now $140. inch and 1/8 plywood that usually is $35 is now $100. Roofing steel went from $2 a square foot to $4. and 2x4 studs went from $2 each to $6, And when I mean "used to" i mean just 6 months ago.

Exactly! I was signing a construction contract for a new home and the builder called on signing day to say that we had to increase the price 70k for increased material cost. I said I’ll wait.

I was on the Hodgdon website this morning and they have a letter explaining the current situation from their perspective:

for the last 40 odd years i was called a nut for picking up any shooting-reloading supplies that went on sale at stores-yard sales-flea markets(i did and still do shoot a lot), but now with shortages i went from a zero to a hero and get several calls a week to sell powder-bullets-primers-caseing. i do keep a few very good hunting friends in needed supplies when ask, but not in the amounts they could sell. does the story about the grasshopper and the ant come to mind.

Bob, I have a case of primers (5,000) sitting on the shelf with $62.80 stamped on it. What I can't find is anyone that has the Large Rifle Magnums (which I'm short of) and is willing to swap.
I think a friend of mine had me buy 5000 of these. Willing to help that retired friend out......

I just built a very pretty basic 40x60 metal building to keep some equipment in, so gravel floor and no electric or water, it was about 40% more than the same thing I built when I moved here in 2018.

I was able to pick up cfe223 a few days ago, an 8 pound jug.
I have all the components for the 35 Whelen, now must get the rifle built.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
