Then it kicked the door in, told me to get it a beer and the remote.

Congratulations.

Not sure if you need a cigarette or a Viagra. Either way I think you're f'ed. :ROFLMAO:

But seriously, it's a beautiful rifle.

There are times when the only thing a man can do is step back and let it happen! Nice addition! A 416 Weatherby is all sorts of gun! Go kill something mean with it.

Congratulations.

Yeah, I put my big bore pants on with this one.

Great find but was just as taken with the your trophy wall. Great idea.

'sa good thang ya got that scope mounted full forward . . . ;)

LOVELY rifle

really is beautiful
have had a few clients come hunt with weatherbys.....man those things are loud and kick like a mule

yip big boy pants(and shoulder) are needed

Thank you. The wood is old barn floor pieces. The photos are on tin plate. The cases, recovered bullets, arrows, flies or lures are what were used to hunt/catch the trophy. My mounts are all over the place, but this room is a hobby room (man cave) and hidden walk in safe.

Would you mind sharing more pictures of that lovely wall? What a great idea, congrats!!

It's the gift that keeps on kicking! Seriously nice set up here. Now to track a buffalo with it.

Very nice! I also like your wall of trophies! I am doing something similar with small shadow boxes when I ever finish moving and stay in one place long enough, however I really like the look of yours and how you have the arrows done especially!
Well done on both!

Ok, I about to derail my own thread. Hunting and fishing to me is more than the act of 'doing it'. It's more about the adventure and the experiences and not the harvest. I enjoy making my own gun or bullet or fly and so on. Then I enjoy taking as little as possible with me. I also want to understand the local foods, hunting/fishing customs and methods. I want to try new technologies or odd customs and traditions. I like meeting people and hearing the stories of 'how it came to be'. To remember these, I take a lot of photos (during my higher education, I side hustled as a photographer) and videos and I save tchotchkes from the adventure. This wall, room and random things all around my home are a way to remember the events. If I shut my eyes, I can hear the conversations, smells or tastes from the moment. Enough zen shit....photos and videos.

The patches were found my father in laws rifle case, after he passed. This case was long forgotten and deteriorating, but the patches were good so I cut them off and put them in a frame. The bullet boards where is as well.

Example of hunt and video remembrance. I have 30 years of this type of stuff all over the place and stored on HDs from all my travels, whether business or pleasure.

I never met my Grandfather. He died in the late 40's, but they say I am just like him. Here is him Ice fishing in the in the late 30's and these are lures he made. A picture of me King Salmon fishing on the Pier Marquette.

Very nice rifle, and I really like your room!

WOW, what a great room. Love the bits of your family hunt/fish history and how you are preserving their memories. Thank you for taking the time and for sharing this beautiful room.

Thanks, I have so much stuff all over the house. Someday it will all have to go.
