There are hunting forums... and then there is AfricaHunting.com!!!

I tripped on AH after I had done months and months of research.
I had done very specific domain based searching and the method avoided .com's.
Was I surprised when I expanded my search.

AH reviews, answers and advice confirmed much of what I had been learning.
There are thousands of lurkers "guests" on this site and more and more continue to join as they see what there is to offer here.
Keep it coming everyone.

AH cemented my decisions on an outfitter in RSA.
They supported this site and one of the PH's was an active contributor (still is) and the outfitter made a hunt donation to AH members.

With all I learned I thought I had better give something back to the community.
Learning, insights, experiences, and a love for hunting in southern Africa.

I checked the site stats the other day.
Since volunteering a few months ago to help moderate on this site, actively using the tools created for me, I have tagged 14% of the total Spammers that have been banned from this site since its inception. I can tell you there are some persistent pains in the A** out there. (You know the kitchen folks.)

As I said before, keep it coming. Reports, pictures, news and questions.

Like J said, its about community. You are it.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
