But they may be exposed to permanent psychological and physical alterations to their bodies, accompanied by pain, which is encouraged in the domestic and social environment by means of changing gender…

"Trophy hunting" is right out. Management/cull hunting, though, appears to be fine.

I wonder how this stupidity is supposed to be enforced. It isn't like a 14 yo boy is going to RSA without his dad/grandfather/uncle.

Well, I guess it's kind of bad to hunt children...... Being sarcastic...Ha ha! I read the article. But the headline isn't worded the best...made me think of "Lord of the Flies" :) So a 17 year old can't hunt there now? Good grief....
I had the same initial thought when I read the headline.

Wait so kids can’t hunt in SA now? I am so confused on so many levels with this.

U.N= Uneducated Nutcases
half job.
Culling not forbidden. Meat hunt not forbidden, pest control not forbidden, etc

Does the UN even have jurisdiction to proclaim things like this?
no.
But they have influence.
In coordination with our own govt Croatia, they (UN) created something like "national strategy for reduction of small arms in community"
After which, the laws were stricter.
UN suggested, our govt applied.

This was the time after war where there was a lot of illegal guns around, intention was to reduce illegal guns from circulation, but it turned against legal gun owners. Cherry on the top was later EU firearms directive.
However, after first anti gun political national frenzy, things started to slack, next gun laws (2018) are much better then previous (2011, 2012).
But in my country, gun grab started with UN initiative.

UN=Under educated Nit wits.
An organization with a limited number of member countries that has No Authority to govern any country yet think they have the power to govern the world.

The UN once helped to solve this world's problems. Now the UN is this world's biggest problem.

I'm not worried. RSA has ignored UN economic sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. Can't believe they would give this foolishness much heed.

The UN can stick their gay blue hats right up their asses! Had my fill of them once upon a time. Wish we would remove ourselves from the UN and Remove them from our country.

The UN needs to go back to the corner of the room, no one cares about their opinion. Just a bunch of corrupt, useless bureaucrats.

That's what I thought. Seems like other issues are going on in this world that should have their attention in front of this.

This is an excellent example of “read the headline outloud before you publish it.”
I think they WANTED the headline that way because they wanted people to read it. This is so maddening on so many levels.

This below in Italic is summary from a research work of two authors on law college in my country.
(I was surprised, i must say)

The laws that followed 2012:
Ban on registration on any rifle that resembles assault rifle (semi auto ar15 was banned)
Ban on reloading ammunition.
5 yearly periodic medical check.
However, the laws slackened in 2018. (those 2 bans annulated, and medical check rules slackened)

It is interesting that on a start of this initiative followed confiscated fire arms public destruction (melting in steel factory, with media reporting live). But frenzy lasted around a year, then stopped. Maybe somebody realized that confiscated guns if good, can be legally sold, or used with new legal owners.

In response to a marked increase in the rates of armed violence in the first half of the 2000s, in 2007 the Croatian Ministry of the Interior and the United Nations Development Programme launched a disarmament strategy that consisted of voluntary weapons-collection programmes, legal amnesty, and awareness-raising campaigns.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
