The Royal Wedding

Harry is one of the more respected members of the Royal Family and as mentioned above, it's not is fault he was born into an entitled family.

He does more work and good than many of the others.
His concept of the Invictus Games for wounded service personnel was brought about by a plane ride home from Afghanistan with a casket and injured servicemen.

He has driven the idea and it has become an incredibly worthwhile cause and venture for those who served our country.
Harry served two tours in the Afghanistan theatre as an Apache pilot.
He undertakes many engagements and charity work unpaid.

I have a lot of time for Harry and his brother because they are more 'normal' and engaging and actually seem to get what the rest of us want to see from them.
They realise that their status is not universally popular but are driving the monarchy in a more modern direction and making more effort than many of their family.

The only wedding bill paid for directly by the British tax payer was the security costs and when you even that out over the population it is a very very small amount per person and I for one don't mind.
When you take into consideration the revenue the wedding generated and the taxes paid on that, I don't think it worked out so bad after all.

Both Harry and his brother do a lot of work for wildlife in Africa and William had made hints in the past that hunting is actually be a good thing.
Don't forget, both are hunters. Like us.

If you had to go for a beer with any of the Royal Family, I bet Harry and to a lesser extent William would be the top two on the list.
Fair play to both of them and good luck.

Best quote I’ve heard describing the “Royal wedding” comes from Dagen McDowell of the Fox Business network:

“The British Tax payers spent 14 million so a third rate actress can marry a prince who’s the seventh in line to a Throne with no power…I hope they got their money’s worth?

Quite sure the tourists from the Usa nicely covered that amount.....:A Thumbs Up:

Hey hey, take it easy on the French. :) Without them and the Treaty of Alliance, we'd still be the King's subjects.

The French government we were allied with during our War of Independence was the one that got beheaded during the French Revolution. We were allied to Louis XVI.

In fact, there was a short armed conflict in the Caribbean between the United States and the French Republic between 1798 and 1800.

I went to the wedding. It was awesome. To be honest, I felt pretty nerdy over it until I started running into an impressive amount of Americans who had come specifically for the wedding. Yes, any expenses paid by the British people was more than made up by the commerce gained from the wedding.

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
