The Perfect Shot by Kevin Robertson

Does anyone have a comparison between version 1 and version 2?

Also a comparison between the hardcover and the mini? Besides size of course.
Not sure about version 1 vs 2 but the hardcover vs mini...size...and size matters. Lots of information in the big book that simply won't fit in the smaller one. The small one is fine for some animals, but the bigger one is much more comprehensive. Two pictures for size and thickness, because both are important. ;)

Thank you! This is very helpful.

Kevins books goes for premium prices these days. Glad I bought mine for a silly dollar back 14 years ago. The books are recommended. Love particular his book on buffalohunting. That one I have is a limited edition from Safari Press. Not many for sale but one.

Why the typing is with fat letters I wouldn`t know??..

Perfect shot 2 hardcover is over 100 pages longer than perfect shot 1. Some of it is word for word verbatim. 2 covers multiple additional species such as a full chapter on roan and a chapter by Peter Flack covering bongo just to point out two as examples. Also many more high quality and different photographs than the first book. Some of the Material is updated or broadened such as the business of rifles. Both are excellent resources and entertaining reading and either one would be an outstanding read prior to a first safari and a good review after that one.

Picked this up on the recommendation of @WAB. Lots of good info for those looking for something Cape buffalo specific.

Was listening to this podcast on my way home this morning. The author says it took him four hours a day for four years to accomplish the first edition. After moving to South Africa he had access to new species and the second edition was born. He does also say the sacrifice has paid itself off-at any price/cost these books are a huge benefit to hunters worldwide-

Great podcast. I listened to it this morning while going through my coffee ritual. My favorite line from Doc: "....it's like marriage, it's a heck of a lot harder than you thought it would be."

My wife studies his books like the bible when we are getting ready for a hunt.

Safe hunting
