We are all here for the hunt - I get it! In fact I got it so bad I spent the last 22 years of my life in Africa guiding hunts and having adventures in 7 different African Countries. It is my way of life, my job and my passion.

However, there is another safari out there and I know many hunters are interested in them; the 'photo' safari. They are interested for good reason:
Many of the tougher hunts are solo type trips and they are expensive.
Cat hunts are hard grueling work and not typically family friendly.
Buffalo hunts come with tetse flies and your wife probably doesn't like those things.
Wilderness areas can be tough and not ideal for large groups. The list goes on...

Enter the Photo Safari. Its actually a bad name but that's what most people actually think of when they hear the word safari.
Very few of these safaris are about photography, but they are about seeing some great places and enjoying Africa with family and friends and they are fun.

I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from these non hunting safaris (most all of them done with my hunters and their families). I've been fortunate to see some amazing things.

Enjoy the pictures and drop a line on the best place or National Park in your experience.
My next trip? The Skeleton Coast!... but only after I guide my next 2 buffalo hunts!

I did a nice side trip to Etosha once. It was a really excellent way to spend a couple of days in Africa. I can't imagine going to Africa for only that though. Much more fun to be on the ground chasing critters.

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
