Federal hasn’t loaded ammo for the 470 in several years. Check anywhere, the .470NE swift A-frames do not exist and won’t exist in the future either.

Federal has transferred most of their large bore ammo out of the factory assembly line tooling and into a bespoke, hand load category. Unfortunately, they won’t hand load these for you anytime soon.

Federal owed me a huge favor (long story) so they handloaded me 5 boxes of 470NE 500gr Swift A-frame ammo. They said it would be 60-90 days, they took about 18 months. In the intervening time I had 200 rounds custom made elsewhere.

As such, I present to you the only modern production 470NE Federal Premium ammo in existence. For no price gouging, just MSRP plus shipping via FedEx ground, they are yours.

$324.99 x 5 = $1624.95 plus FedEx shipping.

If these sell in next two weeks, I’ll honor this price because I’m heading on safari. If they do not, upon return I’ll put them in Gunbroker for an extraordinary sum and wait out someone that needs that which only exists in my hands presently. (At least in new stock, just loaded)

May have a buyer but he'd like to try maybe five rounds to see if they'll regulate at 100 yards. Any chance for that amount? IIRC, he's shooting a Merkel. TIA, Hog

@Hogpatrol I can't open the boxes and split them up at this time, it's just too scarce of a commodity. What I would suggest he do is pick up the phone and call merkel to verify his gun was regulated for Federal ammunition. Federal tells me the recipe and proprietary powders they use in these cartridges were precisely the same going back to at least 2006 in their log books, so he should be good to go if his gun was built for a federal load at 2150fps.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
