Many people will recall Willis & Geiger clothing. A great manufacturer of hunting and adventure clothing. It went out of business after it was bought by Land's End some many years ago, and they couldn't figure out what to do with it.

I just discovered a couple of weeks ago that the people behind Willis & Geiger have formed a new company, Avedon & Colby (Mr. Avedon is over 90!). They currently produce just a shirt, but what a shirt it is. I ordered one to check it out, and I am not disappointed. Fabric is vintage Willis & Geiger, and the shirt has so many features and additions to the older models that it's really a completely new shirt. I am very impressed that in this day and age someone still cares enough to make a great product. The shirt is clearly very expensive, but I think worth it. It looks like this thing will last forever, and I like feeling that I'm supporting something worthwhile instead of the usual Made in ***** stuff that lasts one hunt (if you're lucky).

The Company got funding through a successful Kickstarter campaign, I think, which I hope bodes well for the future.

Apparently, more clothing is to come.

Should be interesting for you folks of smaller stature. The sizing chart stops at 6ft.

Funny, I didn't notice that. I'm 6'1", and a large fits me just fine (would normally be an extra-large, at least at the start of the hunt!).

Quite the shirt, thanks for sharing. I wrote to them for sizing over 6' and will report back when I get a reply.

I sent them an email and got a couple of replies. Here is one copied verbatim:

"Hi - I think the confusion lies in the chart we created. The chart is a "standard sizing chart to 6') - but we've had customers 6'2" wearing the 2X with no issue - extra room even. The sleeve length of our 2X is 37-1/2" (an inch longer than the standard reflected in the chart). Again, really tall 6'3 and up might have an issue - especially if they typcially wear tall sizing.

Do you normally wear XL? 2X?

How about your son? 6'2" would likely wear the 2X with no problem.

Hope this helps.

AC"

I would imagine the shirt would be pretty awesome on the boat in the summer for a day of fishing as well!

It's that tall sizing where I get dropped off the radar here.

As I said, I'm about 6"1" or a bit more, and generally wear a 17 neck and 35 inch sleeves. This shirt in large fits me well.

The vertebrae in my spin are just lightly longer than yours. 202cm
Like most folks that start making clothing they do not tend to make items out at the second standard deviation. :)

If my math serves, that's about 6'6". I assume you're used to dealing with that challenge by now!

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
