I thought I would post a few pictures of my new Trophy Room as it nears competition. After the Christmas decorations and tree are out we'll bring in the rest of the mounts. The bar top (100+ year old barnwood) should be done and installed next week. The real bar stools should be in next week also. This room is something that my wife and I have talked about for many years, and finally it's almost done. What's really cool is I booked a Safari for my wife and I in the middle of June 2018, as we both have milestone birthdays this coming June. So with a little luck and the good Graces of the God above I'll be able to add a Cape Buffalo and a few other things to the new addition.

Wow looks great! Hope you can add a buff!

Have to agree it’s looking good. Plenty of room for more trophies

With all the room you could add a couple new pedestals and split up the Kudu, Blue Wildebeest and Gemsbok. They would look better spread out!

Excellent! But

You need practice so you should build mine! lol !!!

I think they look great
I really like the triple pedestals not common and look fantastic
Also it allows more room for more trophies
Well done sir!!!!

Regards

Looks great. I really like your pedestals.

Very nice room and the triple pedestal look amazing and will done. That is a nice bison to and finishes the fireplace off well

Very nice room, the exposed beams are a nice touch. I like those triple mounts a lot. That pheasant mount is very nicely done too.

Really really nice. I'm jealous!

Very nice room sir, well done!

Thanks guys for the kind words. All of the mounts were downstairs with 8' ceilings, so I had to work closely with my taxidermist to get everything to fit. Just ran out of room down there. My taxidermist asked if it would be okay to display the mount with the kudu at his booth during the Great American Outdoor show in Harrisburg back in February and of coarse I said "yes". What's cool about that was when I went to the show I visited my PH and we walked down a few rows and I showed it to him.

The windows were the cause of much controversy between my wife and I (she wanted giant windows that took up the whole wall and I didn't want any). So she came up with the idea for the long narrow windows. They are getting tinted and some wooden blinds. Controversy over.

Great trophy room, lots of room for more.

Very nice, congrats.

Excellent negotiation with your wife ;)

Plenty of wall space for some nice art, a hand-knotted Eastern rug or two on the floor; maybe some nice shelving behind the bar to show off some Chrystal and single malts; .......... Plenty of room to do all sorts of neat things over time. Looking great.

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
