.30-06 for Feral Hogs

That may be true. As I said, I haven't lived there in 30 years and I'm not going back! I am sure about the background check though. I still have many friends and family living there.

I've heard that as well. After I got it I took it to the gunsmith Ed Labour and had all of the metal gone over. I haven't shot it since so I don't know how it will do but it should be good. I guess I'll have to figure out the twist on the barrel as some of the non lead bullets are said to be fussy about that as well.
Usually only on the longer, heavier bullets. 165's should be fine. Both of my -06's are standard factory twist.

Unfortunately he is stuck with Non Lead projectiles and factory loads.

Those who have heard good things about hammer bullets are right, they are quite accommodating when it come to reloading and are easy to develop a load for.

I have exactly 3 feral cats, some pigs and a few Fallow down to Hammer bullets.

But I’m still on the fence about monos. They have a place and they do show shot placement matters. Hit right they take game down

Many have already said it, but I will throw in another vote for Barnes Vor-Tx

Judging by some of your past comments you don't like Barnes. However, if he is limited to non-lead bullets, then the Barnes is a good choice.

The 180Gr Barnes TSX factory load will suit the young man perfectly in his .30-06 Springfield.

Good information. Thanks.

If you say it Habib, I am inclined to believe it! Thank you, my friend.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
