@scottlinks: well when you start off naming the .308 - you already took away one of the all time Great & inherently accurate and very “efficient” rounds of All time !!
SO what’s left??
.30-06: it eliminates the need for any magnum under .375 H&H.

Few cartridges developed in the last quarter century provide the African hunter any meaningful. 7x57 Mauser, 30-06 Springfield, 375 Holland & Holland, 404 Jeffery, 450 Nitro Express.
