I watched the clip of Fred Bear hunting buffalo in Mozambique. He took a buffalo using his recurve bow. Quite impressive. I'm not a bowhunter but his proprietary broadhead he used and the arrows don't look "stout" enough to me for a buffalo but they worked with one shot.
