How much do you tip your taxidermist? (%)

Thanks.

I never have

Nothing tipped but I have made some brackets for him.

Never have tipped a taxidermist.

Holly smokes, I wish my taxidermy clients tipped me. It's certainly not necessary and not common in the industry. I like the way you think though.

The cashier at Starbucks and the taxidermist get exactly the same %. ZERO

I agree with all the others, for what you are going to give the taxidermist in the end is enough.

I agree with 99% of the cases, no tip. Now, if he was entering my trophy and it won the world championship, then I might tip him. But in reality he was tipped by winning.

Normally I don't think I would tip my taxidermist. I did however tip the taxidermist who did the lifesize mount of my Sheep. The tip was a barrel and stock for his Ruger 10/22. I knew he had really put his heart and soul into the work because he knew this animal meant so much to me. He and I had been swapping photo's of sheep mounts long before I drew the tag and his time and enthusiasm added another layer of enjoyment and anticipation.

Not a common practice.

I just gave this speech this morning at work. Set expectations and stick to them. Change the rules or allow exceptions to the rules and you will fight that battle every time. Start tipping taxidermists and pretty soon that'll be part of the normal business model.

I pay my guy MORE than enough! And to make things worse I pay 20% more for 90 completion because I have zero patience after my hunts.

Thanks for all these opinions.

Johnny Blues, aren't hunters supposed to be patient people? I am headed west the end of May to pick up my heads from 2015 safari, and 2016 NZ trip.

My patience ends after every hunt. Lol. I've sat for many many years in tree stands and ground blinds in places like Alberta and Saskatchewan in minus 30 degree weather for 8 hours a day. Without heaters. No thanks waiting on taxidermy. Lol

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
