I am looking for taxidermist recommendations in Namibia. I have some plainsgame for pack and dip plus an elephant and giraffe that I need the hides tanned.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Stefanus from First Class Trophy Namibia. He and his company are top notch. No hidden fees everything is transparent, delivery from where you hunted to your own doorstep.

I used Trophaendienste Taxidermy in Windhoek . They did a good job and good communication. I would use them again.....

Kings Taxidermy handled my leopard and dik dik and mtn zebra skins and skulls and I used Yellowshark for shipping. I was pleased with both Kings and Yellowshark.

A second for Ingwe! I have had two previous hunt trophies dip/pack. No issues and currently awaiting last year's trophies.

I have used Trophendaise for a single shoulder mount and euro mounts. They did a fine job. I currently have elephant skin / ears / and skull in process with a different taxidermist from last summer. I will update as soon as I have more information on how it's going.

I have used Trophandienste several times, for dip and pack and also finished mounts. I’ve seen plenty of ivory and elephant hides in the vault, so I’m certain they can do that too. Their quality and communication are excellent.

I’ve used King’s taxidermy at the recommendation of my outfitter three times. For dip and pack work it’s likely the best I’ve seen in Africa.

Provided that I don’t screw things up and do a lot of missing, I’ll be using Trophandienste this summer.

After seeing some of the recommendations, You may want to read this thread. I posted a couple times on it as well. My experiences were 15 or so years ago, so things can change and may be better now. Louw did try to work things out a few years late for which I do give him credit but that was after this thread was posted and caused some bad publicity. If I recall correct, one of the outfitters on AH encouraged Louw to get involved and take care of all the problems as best he could. . He definitely is handy to the airport and is probably the largest taxidermist in the country.

I don’t have a recommendation to give you unfortunately.

All the best on your decision and have a great summer.

I can recommend Ingwe.

Run a mile from Trophaendienste. And then another mile for good measure!

I currently have animals at King’s. Communication has been really good. My dip and pack is complete, just waiting on them to finish my replica tusks.

Here is some work King's did for me

I had my work done stateside but the taxidermy at the huntimg lodge was done by King’s. Looked great. A full mount lion was delivered while I was there and was very well done.

I’ve used Trophaendienste in the past and have stuff with them right now.

I usually deal with Friedel via email and he is quick to respond and answer questions.

Yellow shark logistics who was recommended above works well with them on getting your crate out of their shop and off to the states

Then ontop of that - Wyatt at SSI importers enjoys and has had good luck in Namibia using these two companies to get your stuff home.

Works for me.

I think they have made changes…

Best!

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
