Hello everyone and I hope y’all have had a merry Christmas! I am in a bit of a situation so I am looking for a taxidermist that will take a form, my frozen wet tanned hide, ears, eyes and velvet preserved antlers basically everything for the mount and mount them for me.

Long story short my wife killed this caribou 6 years ago when we were stationed in Alaska. Now I am stationed overseas (active duty military) and the taxidermist in Alaska keeps putting me off and seems to have gone belly up. So now I am in the search for a taxidermist in the lower 48 to ship everything to so it can be mounted but have no idea where to even start my search.

Thank you

@huntinlabs , Logan, you might try D&C expediters in Anchorage. They are a freight forwarder and have a taxidermist shop in Montana. They handled the shipping of my moose antlers and provided a replacement cape. I didn’t use them for the final taxidermist work, but from what I understand, they are really good with Alaska trophies.

Another recommendation is Rich Bradberry in Livingston, MT. Rich has done several deer and elk for me and he also held about 15 African animals for me for a few years while I was working and living overseas. Wildlife Artistry of Livingston MT is the business name.

The taxidermist that D&C Expediters use in Montana is Monarch Taxidermy in Helena MT, they are who I've used for several years on my African and NA game. They do a great job on deer, elk and sheep as well as caribou that I've seen in their shop. I've seen quite a few velvet antlered deer they've done. They have a website you can review (www.https://monarchexhibits.com)

A buddy and I had similar circumstances.....not to mention any names but my guess is taxidermist was located in North Pole?
Our antlers and capes were shipped to airport, we picked them up and took to a local taxidermist.
Our hunt was in 18, just hung boo on wall last week.
If you are still looking for a taxidermist for caribou PM me and I'll get you the info for who we used here in states. Pleased with the results.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
