Just got back August 20, 2017. Husband went with Pierre van tonder big game safaris. Pierre was fantastic. Everything was first class all the time. When we arrived at Dar es Salaam we were treated like royalty. This was our first trip to Africa and ignorant as to where to go and what to do. No problem. Pierre's people were right there waiting for us and zoomed us through customs, got our luggage and Joe's gun, and off we went. Charter flight to camp took about an hour. Pierre was there waiting for us at the landing strip and we drove to the camp from there. On the way a bull elephant crossed the road in front of us. It was awesome!! The camp was clean and we'll kept. Our quarters was super nice and had its own bathroom and shower. Pierre's staff all greeted us on arrival and food was served soon after we unpacked. Let me add, the food was 5 star rated. Joe got an impala, a Kadoni and a beautiful cape buffalo. Pierre's trackers are Masai and we're incredible. The weeds were 4 to 6 feet high but they still were able to spot buffalo tracks from the road. It was a trip of a lifetime with memories. If you have any questions feel free to ask. We planned this trip and saved for years and Pieer made every minute worth all the time and effort. Sheila.
