TANZANIA: Has Anyone Hunted With Infinito/Ultimate Tanzania Safaris?

I’ve hunted with Charl and Infinito in South Africa and have nothing but good things to say about the camp, quality/amount of game, and overall experience there. I do understand that Pieter passed away and believe he was much more engaged in the TZ location.

I hunted twice with Peiter/Motsomi in South Africa. Both great hunts. I believe Infinito/Charl also has a good operation in South Africa. But since Peiter's passing TZ/Ultimate Tanzania has become more than unreliable and full of false advertizing. And little or no communication.

One final add, I believe Charl to be trustworthy and feel confident that if you were to speak with him he would get you the info you need

Yeah - I think thats fair whiskey. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, and Im well aware that things happen that cause plans to change when dealing with a hunt like this. However, as the guy stuck with planning this trip for myself and my buddies, I want to do what I can to make it a good/successful trip!

My friend and I booked a hunt for Buff and Leopard as well as other species in2023. The tented Camp in their brochure and website has not been there since 2020 or 2021. We booked through Peiter Potgeiter of Motsomi Safaris who was Charl Von Royens partner in Ultimate Tanzania Safaris. Unfortunately Peiter died in Sept of 2023. Charl is no longer hunting in the area south of the Selous. As of a month ago I not sure he even had an area for this year. The Tanzanisa resident who held the license for the area we hunted was exceptional and saved our hunt. If not for him we would have never got our trophies back. Neither Peiter or Charl were present for any of our hunt. Please PM me as I would be happy to give all the details,

Well where were you then, you said south of Selous and that's where I was hunting. There are several WMA's south of Selous.

Not secretive. Just had to look it up since it seems important to you. My license says the area was Nalika. Didn't see any TZ hunters with friends when I was there.

Did you post a report? I confess that I haven't yet. I'm about 3/4's done, slow process.

No I haven't posted a report and probably won't. Same reason as your 1st question. I would hunt that same area again anytime but not with Ultimate Tanzania Safaris/Charl. Which doesn"t matter as he doesn't hunt there anymore. If you have anymore questions DM me.

Ok, if I have questions I'll DM but I think it a shame that you prefer not to share your safari. Like you I love the area, definitely not for the casual hunter.
