TAG SAFARI For Authentic Safari Clothing & Adventure Gear Since 1990

The dry weave material of those shirts is really fantastic, it dries out in a hurry.

I have several of your shirts - Great quality and fair price…..I would own many more if “IF” ALL your Shooting Shirts were also made in LFET HAND —- Only a few are.
So, recommendation — sew the padded patch on the Left shoulder and charge $5-$10 more for it (I know LH is only 10% of the population)..we “Lefty’s are use to paying a little more to get what we want !!

Like your products and own several LS Shirts in LEFT HAND - but you don’t offer and Short Sleeved LH shirts???
Hi HankBuck,

Thanks, we appreciate you buying Tag Safari Clothing. You correctly state that the percentage of Leftys is around 10 to 11% of the population. Unfortunately "Lefty" Shooters make up less than 2% of all hunters. For many years, we stocked Lefty shirts in Short and Long Sleeves. Frankly, the sales were just not there to justify carrying any meaningful inventory.
We now only make the Lefty in Long Sleeves with Roll up Swiss Tabs. Long Sleeves in the cool mornings and for Sun protection and rolled up during the warm days.
If we have pre-orders for 24 Lefty Shirts in Short Sleeves, we would make this small run and ship them out as they came in. Unfortunately most Leftys wont commit to buying.

Nice gear you have here & thank you for supplying us hunters .

I’m amazed that is the percentage of left handed hunters, maybe I just know a lot of hunters who are left handed, 4 out of 10 of closest friends are lefty’s , granted 3 of them shoot right handed rifles but that because left handed rifles are a little rarer & maybe more expensive.

Even two of my Outfitters employers were left handed & we get a lot of left handed hunters, but I suppose 1-2 out of 10 hunters is close ?

I’d commit to 4 short sleeve left handed shooter shirts. Let me know if this gets the ball rolling.

Welcome to AH and thank you for your sponsorship.

Thanks for posting the online page. I was able to check your site out, commercial break, while reading various posts and threads here on AH.

Questions:

Do the vest and jackets have cartridge loops inside any of the pockets?

Will you be considering adding cartridge loops designs to a future vest and jacket design?

I generally wear a large or extra large jacket or vest for a loose fit for carrying concealed. With these items being preshrunk; Should I still considering a size larger for a loose fit?

@TAG SAFARI - Your estimate of only 2% of Hunters/Shooters being Left Handed is wrong — what demographic or study did you research to arrive with that “2% figure”? Having worked in Retail and also speaking with gun manufacturers that Now offer more Left Handed models in the last 30 years then ever before - all estimates for Left Handed Shooters and Hunters range from 7% to 10%. Benelli would Not be making Left Handed Semi Autos IF only 2% of shooters were left handed…niether would any other gun manufacturer - they must completely design a different action and barrel - much more involved then switching a patch & pocket on a shirt. But I like your Shirts - the two that I own - very light weight and good for Summer shooting. Since your shirts are NOT “fashion” they don’t really go out of style - so if they sit on a shelf (in your inventory) for a year or two it’s just a matter of carrying extra inventory over from one fiscal year to another…bad business but Great for your Left handed Customers

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
