Hello fellow hunters,
Just enquiring to see if anybody has had experience with swift dip?? I'm considering using them after my hunt in May. Also are there any other firms that can do a nice job of the dip and pack process?

Many thanks

Manish (norfolk shooter)

Dennis Harris has my last hunt items from Swift Dip now in Michigan--he suggested them and seemed pleased with this shipment as well.

If its good enough for Mr Harris its good enough for me

Swift Dip has done the best out of 7 different outfits I've used in SA

Manish my friend I suggest Mike Smith at Capricorn taxidermy. He can also do a great lion mount for you in RSA at a very reasonable price.
Are you practicing with the double?

Have used Swift Dip on both of my SA trips. They have been excellent both times. They are the only D&P outfit I have consistently heard good things about. If I hunt SA again I will use Swift Dip.

Me and that double are best buds. I just need to work on the the rapid second shot recovery from recoil

We have used Swift Dip on two of our trips and was very happy with their service and quality.

Swift Dip is reputable- I have also used Trophy Solutions my last two trips and have been very pleased with them and their communication !

I have used Swift Dip for my last 3 safaris and I and my taxidermist appreciate their quality of work, great communication and reasonable pricing. I will be using them again for my 2020 safari.

Also used Swift Dip last year and with Dennis now

Do Swift dip tan the skins?? From my understanding of the website they clean and bleach the skulls

Swift Dip doesn't tan them, they just prepare the hide to be tanned when they get back to your home country. They do excellent work. The skull and horns are cleaned so Euro mounts can be done or use for taxidermy mounts.

Swift Dip only does D&P that's one of the things that make them good as they aren't trying to do taxidermy too. You get quick turn around time and your skulls are cleaned and hides prepared for shipping.

I sent an email to Swift Dip and have yet to hear a reply so I will post it here. Will they pick up your trophies from anywhere in SA or do you have to be hunting relatively close to their location? Do they charge to pick it up?

Swift Dip is in the Limpopo area. They do make rounds to pick up , or PH can drop off. If you close no issue, moving them long distance could run a fee. South Africa is bigger than most think.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris
