Keeping open sights on a rifle with a suppressor is a bit of a challenge & compromise, if an over barrel (best for OA shorter length & support of the suppressor) very very difficult & you end up with a strange setup which is hard to use, if you use a Can (end of barrel after moving sight back perhaps?) you still need extra high sights to make up for the bulk of the suppressor, a light weight or streamlined muffler most likely won’t be up to Magnum pressure.
I have an Oceania Defence Titanium, on one of my smaller caliber rifles, when I picked this up I thought it was made of paper Mache it was crazy light & doesn’t effect the handling at all, more so if you shorten the barrel.
To add that I believe you only need the length of the thread to be the same as the diameter to get the full strength, this on a Can.
also keep mind you will have about 34 inches of barrel with a can on so balance will be way forward and the length will be an issue in the brush, I would cut the barrel height of to 20 inches then have the front sight re-installed you might have to change the height of the front sight post depending on the amount of rear sight movement. my 30.06 with an 18 inch barrel and suppressor balances great under the magazine
