I'd like one in .375 H&H... that'd be something.
I thought only military cartridges were banned? It doesn't matter because they're semi autos which are banned for hunting in Africa, except if you're Razor Dobbs (somebody pull up that video) with his 10mm pistol hunting buffalo. I guess if you're "somebody" with a corporate sponsor (MONEY!) you can bring your semi auto and hunt however the he** you want to?+1

Somewhere out there on the internet a m1 grand is being manufactured in 458 win mag.I'd like one in .375 H&H... that'd be something.
A .375/.338 would fit in the magazine and chamber without modifications except for the barrel. Same with a .416 Taylor.I'd like one in .375 H&H... that'd be something.
I knew the PHs could because they live there. I guess I'll have to try a SAPS 520 for my 10mm Glock "back up" gun for hunting Duiker? LOLSemi auto shotguns are permitted for waterfowl and bird hunting.
I'll have to go back to the handgun laws for RSA. But I think, if the barrel is legal length, caliber and velocity are legal for the intended species of animal, a semi auto pistol can be temporarily imported into RSA.
I have seen 2 PH's carrying semi auto 9mm. Concealled, until their shirt road up when they sat down. They didn't say and I didn't ask.
The handgun regs were so confusing I just contacted Henry at Henry Rifle Premits and asked if my 44 mag revolver with a 4 5/8 inch barrel was legal back up for buff, filled out the SAPS 520 and it was approved for import.
Just make sure your barrel is a bit over minimum length. I measured my Magnum Reseach 44 BFR, it was supposed to be 4 5/8 inches and that's how I listed it on SAPS 520 then I actually measured it with digital calibers in mm. I was 1mm short of legal. I didn't tell and SAPS didn't ask or measure the barrel. SAPS did ask where the scope was. I said I use iron sights and Henry said something to them in Afrikaan, SAPS nodded and closed my gun case.I knew the PHs could because they live there. Well, my Glock Model 40 10mm has a 6" barrel with Trijicon night sights for hunting leopards and jaguars at night. Those don't weigh nearly as much as the buffalo Razor Dobbs was hunting with his 10mm, so I should be OK? LOL I'm sure Henry was telling the SAPS guy that his six pack of COLD Black Label beer would be waiting for him after work, so you got lucky this time with your scopeless revolver. Next time, who knows? LOLJust make sure your barrel is a bit over minimum length. I believe I'll stick with the H&H. I have neither desire nor affinity for the wildcats of this particular caliber.A .375/.338 would fit in the magazine and chamber without modifications except for the barrel. Same with a .416 Taylor.
@Ridge RunnerThat’s wild...would pair well with the 458WM Garand.
My shoulder would hate such things.
I want one of each.
Let’s just make it a Barrett M82A1 50BMG…with a brake of course to stay on topic.

Nice idea. Since I'm set for reloading 458WM. I don't really want to load up on dies, bullets and powder at today's prices for another caliber.
