Still considering Africa….

Certainly not bragging brother….just a statement in jest.
Self induced poverty is a real thing. Trust me, it is. I know whereof I speak.

They even got me to buy a Louis Viton purse
Hopefully not spelled like that because if that's the case, the chance is high it was one of those Chinese scammers that roam this site. :ROFLMAO:

Yep, that is the point indeed. Preparing your first safari for 2 years and getting everything perfect is indeed as much pleasure as the safari itself. I know it was for me, and after many safaris it still is. It sure beats watching the stupid box and getting our intelligence insulted daily...
True!!! Anticipation is almost always better than realization. Except when hunting Buff

But I may need to rethink this site…. Since the first of the year , I’ve purchased a new rifle, two pair Jim Green boots, a pair of quad shooting sticks, and two new rifle scopes….

Y’all are a bad influence!
just book a hunt, tallyho is waiting for you

@CBeck Completely picked up on your humor and satire

But as a bad influence we are failing you as we need to help enable you to buy at least 10 more big bores with a couple doubles mixed in. than safaris laid out for at least one a year but two a year would be better. Upgrade your glass all around:A Gathering:

I agree with @One Day... , spend your money on more hunts instead of equipment you don´t really need.

Glad to help!

I’m in the same boat… Have my R8 in 375 H&H/300 WM finally - but can’t stop looking at this Kimber Caprivi that’s available in my area. Why do I need two 375’s? I don’t. And yet…

Just picked our dates for a return trip to Namibia in 2026. Taking my kids this time and going to do more touring there as well as a bit of time in Botswana and Victoria Falls. Another week of plains game hunting to look forward to and work the kinks out of my R8.

Looking for my first buffalo hunt in 2027 and still that damn Kimber crosses my mind. It is a stark departure from my R8 wood vs synthetic, CRF vs push feed, modular vs NOT…. I’m just lucky it’s not a 416 or I’d probably already own it lol.

The truthfulness is there is no justification for any of this… My granddad‘s 30-06 from 1970 could likely be the only rifle I ever needed but as I said before, what’s the fun in that?

Hello there. I’ve been wanting to introduce myself personally & chat with you about hunting Nilgai. Give me a call sometime…

Best,

+1 Great to deal with. I purchased custom rifle. No issues.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
