Special thanks to Mark Biggerstaff!

Fine individual to deal with. I hope one day to meet him personally. Congratulations on a beautiful rifle.

Now, the big question is, what scope are you going to put on? :ROFLMAO:

Thank you. I will probably put either a Leupold VX-3 1.5-5x20 or a VX-3 3.5-10x40.

I don’t like to see the front sight in the scope and it disappears around 3.5x. QD rings and remove the scope for anything closer.

While I would like something fancier, I don’t think I can justify the expense for the use it will get.

Good deal. BTW, I put exactly one of the scopes you mentioned (VX-3 1.5-5X20) on a Ruger RSM 416 Rigby, and I like a lot. This set up is heading to SA this Jun after Buffalo.

Mark’s one of the good guys.
@WAB
I have to agree with you on that one. I have spoken to @Mark Biggerstaff several times and found him to be a really genuine guy.
When my wife and I get to America we a catching up with him for a meal and a yarn. Really looking forward to seeing him.
Problem is Mark's kryptonite is What a burger. Even his truck has a steering problem when it sees one. It keeps wanting to pull in and get one.
I will have to try a famous ( well in Texas anyway) what a burger to see what all the fuss is about. Mark says they are a health food and good for mind, body and soul. We will wait and see but I know Mark wouldn't tell me porkies.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
