Headed out tomorrow May 28th for my third safari. Hunting with Gerrit @Bos en Dal SAFARIS again. This trip is my 58th birthday trip, I will have my birthday while on safari. Will be there 27 days on the ground, I am traveling alone this time as I prefer to hunt at my pace and not be worried about others in a group. We have Lioness hunt in Kalahari, Buff Bull and cow combo in Northwest, plus what ever plains game and some bird hunts planned.

Flying Qatar Business Class Houston Doha JoBerg. I have pre approved rifle permits in hand thanks to Adel and Henry @riflepermits.com !!
Negative Covid Rt-PCR in hand. All Qatar paperwork is done!

Will do some final packing today and dreaming!

Will give a full report on my return, but will post up some trophy pics and updates here as time and service allows.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

But I am NOT ON the flight out this evening.
One of my medical issues flared up over night and been running fever. Trip is postponed for at least a week to see if can get resolved.

I have been having some medical issues for the last year and it has flared up again.

I hope all stays well. Set to depart this coming Friday June 4. Turns out what have me the fever and had to postpone getting on flight was a sinus infection set in. Drs have me on meds and say should be good to go by Friday.

Need to give a shout out to:

Jennifer@Travel Express!! She got me full refund and new tickets purchased and they honored my original ticket price for business class!!

Henry and Adel at Riflepermits. They got all my pre approved paperwork back In order and ready!!

Global Rescue guys when I called them, they where like. You are under coverage are you sure you don’t need our services and just want to change dates? Easy to talk to people.

Gerrit @ Bos en Dal. Was more concerned about my health than me making the plane. He had room to extend and move dates 1 week.

Now all to do is new Covid test and stay well to get on plane Friday!!
