SOUTH AFRICA: Wheels Up From Denver To KZN

Seeing Lions while out in the bush is awesome. Nothing quite like it. Congrats

Wow, what a story! Glad everyone is okay. Talk about memories for a lifetime.

Significant emotional event for sure! Congratz on a nice buff. You will always remember that day I am sure.

@AZDAVE June 4th will be indelibly etched in my mind for the rest of my life.

Gents,
Very late on finishing up on our trip, but I’ve gained access to hunting pictures that my wife had confiscated and was doing work on her computer.
Life in general is to complicated here. That’s why vacations help keep me somewhat sane. It was so nice being away from cell phones the news and crazy stuff that happens every day. Mostly by choice we avoided tv internet Facebook et all.
Yes one can survive without the electronic world for a couple weeks.
Looking back I had discussed my zebra hunt. Fantastic animals, they seem to be onry critters pretty much unhappy if another gets in their way. Amazing That no two are ever alike in stripes configuration truly unique.
He was very tasty for sure. Better than the buffalo or the Nyala . Would have loved to bring some of those steaks home.
The TSX bullet did a fine job , clipping a portion of the heart he didn’t go far. ButI got to say all that fat around his ticker reminded me of some of my patients, just a setup for a huge myocardial infarction. Good thing I was there and saved him a trip to the cath lab.

Daily game drives on Zeekoepan are an experience not to be missed. Pretty nice just my wife and I with the PH and access to 60k acres .
To see cheetah, elephant , rhino ,lions buffalo along with other wildlife each day is awesome. In the wild and not in a zoo.
Always a armed PH with you on game drive, Just in case....

Awesome hunt, an adventure you will remember the rest of your life!

More pictures! What a trip! Don’t think I’d enjoy being that close to a lion in the dark!

Thanks Ben,
That old guy wasn’t going to give up without a fight. And then there was the buffalo also....

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
