Just getting to the Airport in Los Angeles for our Business Class flights on Emirates to Johannesburg through Dubai. I’m going to spend 2 weeks in SA and then head to Namibia for 2 weeks.
Taking my Blaser R8 Selous in 500 Jeff and 300 win mag as well as my custom Heym in 404 Jeff.

Good luck! Safe travels. I flew with Emirates out of LAX a month ago and was all checked in with guns under 30 mins. I was shocked to say the least.

Just flew through Emirates check in with total time of 35 minutes from being welcomed at the counter. 15 minutes was having TSA “inspect” the guns.

On the menu is 4 Cape buffalo, Nyala, Leopard and maybe an own use elephant.

Safe travels, good hunting, and strait shooting!

Will admit the flight menu has me questioning life choices as I ready to crawl off into the Alaskan wilderness for annual sheep excursions. Developing my menu before repackaging to trim weight, deciding which dehydrated meals to double up on and which to pass entirely this trip, focusing more on calories per ounce and amount of water/fuel required to make.

Then it’s which single pair of underwear and layers do I want to use for the 8-12 days afield, while snuggled into a damp, cold, too-small tent with a buddy. There’s just something so super nice about hunting hard but coming back to camp with a catered meal, folded laundry service and a campfire.

No wonder I can’t wait to go back. Can’t wait to see photos and hear stories of the buffalo.

Have an 8 hour layover so off to the JW Marriott for our 2 complimentary rooms and decided to UBER to the Dubai Mall(biggest mall I’ve ever been in) and then to Burj Khalifa
