SOUTH AFRICA: MOZAMBIQUE: Off To Southern Africa With KMG & TMS & PPS

The plane just landed in Seattle. Oh, so close.

Worst part of the waiting now!

I just got some more worst part.

Called the warehouse a few minutes ago and it took the guy a while to find out what was going on. That is never a good sign.

The nightmare came true, the USFWS just intervened with my shipment.

Apparently the pro-hunting folks in LA decided it was time to off load the shipment for inspection in LAX.
It is so nice of them to protect the $%^&* world from the bad hunters. Another one of the brain trust seeing a CITES permit and assuming it must be an Elephant tusk.

I am going to rip the shipping company a new A-hole for routing my trophies through the USA.
@#$%^&*().

The result:
"Call me in a couple of days"

:S Censored:

I just got a reply from the shipper to my WTF? email.

He tells me that the trophies are being inspected by the folks in Europe. No explanation on the routing choice.

Apparently the fella in the warehouse here can not read a computer screen.

I did learn that the trophies actually flew through Kenya, narrowly escaping a stabbing by a Chinese guide.

Looking at the tracking information I was provided this morning.
The newest fairy tale has the route running through Indianapolis and LAX.
The USFWS gauntlet is yet to be tried and tested.:E Horrified:

The tentative schedule (this will always be my future position and will otherwise be know as the booking to Fantasy Island) is arrival on August 12 late at night.
The timing of which will coincide perfectly with government department hours (CLOSED), thus ensuring storage in the airport warehouse for the weekend.

I'll let you know if they ever arrive. :A Wheelchair:

These are African trophies and I am not reminded that TIA. :A Popcorn:

Well the cargo carrier decided that the trophies should get an alternate tour.
Confirmed by an actual screen shot of the computer tracking software.
They are currently sitting in the hold of the plane and it has arrived at, wait for it,...... Indianapolis!

I have to get on one of these cargo planes, they go everywhere.

:A Popcorn:

Man this must be agonizing.just reading the last few posts o_O :A Blowup:

Patience young Padawan. All will soon be well.:D Don't rip any new whatevers:eek: until your stuff is in your house.

I changed my expectations. No longer going to stress about it. Had to get back into TIA mode.

As the trophies just blew by the Grand Canyon and are now entering Californian air space.

I have decided to adjust my attitude.

Last leg, if all is going well.

Just about to pass over Boise heading north.

Bet you will rest better when it clears US airspace.:D

Then you can thumb your nose at USFW.:sneaky:

When I know the crates are actually here Not just because the plane made it. Until then. :A Praying:

That is pretty country you are loafing by, where is that?

The banks of the Skeena in northern B.C.
I certainly agree it is very pretty country.
