SOUTH AFRICA: Klaserie Buffalo Hunt

Absolutely not! I’m a big fan. I have the 475 Turnbull and am going to use it on an American Bison this year. Im headed to Limpopo for my first Buffalo hunt on August 9th. I thought about taking the Turnbull but I decided to go with a double in 450-400 for my first. Thanks for sharing!
Great, I look forward to reading about both of your upcoming hunts. Good luck!

Love it, thanks for posting. Is there a report somewhere for the .50-110 hunts?

Cheers.

Hey Certus, There is a thread on **NOT**PERMITTED** in the big bore levers forum entitled "Turnbull 50-110". I shared some details on my 2021 Klaserie hunt with the 50-110 in that thread. I don't think I've ever took the time to post a story of the 2022 Zimbambwe buffalo hunt with the 50-110, I've just posted the photo. I'll have to work on that, LOL.

Thanks again for the kind words. :giggle:

Please do!

What made you decide to use an 1886 vs a more conventional African rifle?

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
